The European version of the Poker Players Alliance

In the context of recent signatures are waiting for the Treaty of Lisbon which pretends to the European Union, the gaming community gaming has launched an online petition.

The treaty includes the “Citizens Initiative“, indicating that a petition of one million signatures can force the Parliament of the European Union to decide on a particular issue. In terms of gambling national governments require citizens to use the services of state enterprises by violating one of the fundamental rights of citizens – the free market regardless of the country where the citizen.

The petition was initiated in a context where the issue of gambling online has re-emerged in the policy of the two largest economies in continental Europe: France and Germany. The new government in Germany is likely to include the German liberal party FDP into a coalition with the CDU, Angela Merkel. The parties have declared that reform of current laws of the country was a priority.

La France, by contrast, has developed its new bill gambling online and preparations are underway for its adoption. Preparations for the reform have also been made in other major European markets like Italy and Spain, although the smaller countries (like Portugal and the Netherlands) have refused to change their current attitudes toward online casinos and sports bettin and prefer the continued domination of their own monopolies.

America and Canada have the same restrictive regulations regarding gambling and the petition. After all, deregulation in Europe would intensify pressure on other politicians to follow their example.
