National Lottery Scam

Minister of Sports, Svilen Neykov, has organized a special review of the national lottery to the outbreak of the same issues two draws in a row, separated by only four days, according to a report by Agence France Presse.

The numbers 4, 15, 23, 24, 35 and 42 were randomly selected as winning September 4, and September 10 in two consecutive draws.

The mathematician Mihail Konstantinov observed that the probability of these two prints is a 4.2 million chance, although he added that such coincidences can occur.

The Vice-President of the lottery Maria Yaneva ruled out any possibility of manipulation of winning numbers, telling the newspaper 24 Hours that the numbers were drawn in a different order in the two prints, and drawings are the presence of a special committee of the lottery which ensures the legitimacy of the draw. In addition, she said that the drawings are broadcast live on television.

Too Many Winners

18 people have guessed the 6 numbers in the second printing September 10. The winners will each receive 10 164 leva (about EUR 5 197). During the first printing September 6, there were no winners. The last big jackpot won in the lottery Bulgaria was 3.8 million (1.94 million euros) in January 2008.

Fraud in Canada
